Dr. Rick Borry is a sought after speaker and expert in the meetings and events management industry. Long noted as an innovator and a technology futurist, Dr. Borry was the architect and founder of Register123 in 1998 and grew it into one of the early leading providers of online registration. Acquired by Certain Software in 2001, Dr. Borry joined as Chief Architect responsible for developing Certain�s flagship application, Certain Registration. Since 2005, Dr. Borry has been an active member of the APEX Technology Advisory Committee charged with developing standards for the meetings industry. He is an active speaker and advocate for the industry, including engagements at MPI-WEC, MPI-PEC, HSMAI, SGMP, BizBash, APEX, and the Pharmaceutical Meeting Planners Forum. His articles have appeared in Government Advantage, Smart Meetings and other industry publications. Dr. Borry earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
