As Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Bright Now! Dental Inc., Rick Brown has overall responsibility for brand development, advertising, all consumer and retail marketing activities, community marketing, sales and business development.
Before joining the Bright Now! Dental Family in 2005, Rick built a successful career in the multi-unit retail industry, specifically in the restaurant sector. His most recent assignment was as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Burger King Corp. located at their world-wide headquarters in Miami, Florida. He oversaw all national marketing plan development, including product marketing, promotions, merchandising, franchise relations, and field marketing and sales. Rick was part of the senior management team that successfully turned the business around and positioned the company for sale, which was completed in December, 2003.
Rick also worked for five years at Taco Bell Corp. in their national Business Support Center in Irvine, California. He held the position of Vice President, Marketing responsible for all national on-premise communications, franchise relations, field marketing, promotions and led all multi-branding activities. Prior to moving down to the US, Rick worked in his native Canada for PepsiCo, where he was the Director of National Marketing. He successfully launched the Taco Bell brand in Canada, growing the brand to over 125 units and $140 million in revenue.
Rick started his marketing career in consumer-packaged goods, where he held various brand management positions over a ten year period for such high profile companies as Thomas J. Lipton, where he managed a portfolio of food brands and led a successful turnaround of the Lipton beverage business. At Lever Brothers, Rick successfully managed brands like Sunlight laundry detergent and Snuggle fabric softeners. When he was at Gillette, he was part of a team that launched the �Sensor� shaving system in Canada and served oversees for a subsidiary company called Braun, AG in Germany, where he worked in the International Business Management group responsible world-wide marketing strategy and development of new products.
Rick earned a Masters, Business Administration from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and a Bachelors of Commerce degree in Marketing. In addition to his professional career Rick enjoys time with his wife and two daughters, and is an avid golfer and tennis player. |
