Rick Updyke, vice president of corporate business development for 7-Eleven, Inc., is responsible for developing new business opportunities and services for 7-Eleven stores, including the company's e-commerce initiative, V.com.
Updyke joined 7-Eleven stores in 1984 as an office automation analyst and has held a number of positions, including senior financial analyst, group manager of strategic planning and business analysis and manager of investor relations. Most recently, he served as vice president of planning.
Born in Independence, Mo., Updyke earned a bachelor's degree in management information systems from Texas Tech University in Lubbock and an MBA in finance from Amberton University in Dallas. |
