Dr. El-Hajj is a Mayo Clinic trained physician with board certification in endocrinology, diabetes, metabolism, internal medicine and thyroid nuclear medicine. She also has a mathematics and information technology background. Dr. El-Hajj has been the Program Director for the Division of Endocrinology at the largest private medical school in the United States. Dr. El-Hajj just completed a website that will be used by the Department of Health and Human Services ("HHS") for patients with diabetes and for children to help prevent diabetes. She also developed the first computerized Body Mass Indicator for children that provides parents, patients and physicians with their risk for being overweight with steps to healthier outcomes. Dr. El-Hajj received a commendation by Secretary of HHS, Tommy Thompson, for her work that is featured on www.powerofprevention.com. She has won numerous academic and teaching awards. She did the initial feasibility design for the merging of diverse medical information together in one program to develop an automatic Evaluation and Management tool for 3PN which has never been utilized in other electronic medical record systems. |
