A. Robert D. Bailey is corporate vice president and general counsel of Bausch & Lomb responsible for the legal affairs of the company on a worldwide basis. He was named to this post in 2007.
Mr. Bailey began his legal career as an associate with what is now the law firm of Nixon Peabody LLP in Rochester N.Y. He was first employed at Bausch & Lomb as counsel from 1994 to 1995 then re-joined the company in 1997 after serving as associate general counsel and assistant secretary at Goulds Pumps Inc. Prior to being named general counsel he was vice president assistant general counsel and assistant secretary for the company.
Mr. Bailey was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada in 1963. He holds a J.D. cum laude from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield Minn. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
