Robert A. Bartell, CFA, is a Managing Director in the Chicago office of Duff & Phelps, LLC. Mr. Bartell joined the firm in 1997 and is an expert in advising family business shareholders, board of directors of public companies and private equity funds. Mr. Bartell specializes in a variety of corporate finance engagements involving middle market M&A advisory assignments, private placements of debt and equity securities, fairness opinions, solvency opinions, business enterprise valuations, intangible asset valuations and ESOP transactions.
Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, Mr. Bartell was a commercial banking officer in the middle market corporate banking department at BMO Harris Bank.
Mr. Bartell graduated with honors with a B.S. from the University of Illinois and. Mr. Bartell earned an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB). Mr. Bartell is a member in the following organizations: Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), ESOP Association, Business Valuation Association, National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO), and The Union League Club of Chicago.
