Robert A. Dyson, CPA, is a Partner in the Technical Review Group in the New York office of Goldstien Golub Kessler ("GGK"). Mr. Dyson consults GGK staff on financial reporting matters relevant to Securities and Exchange Commission registrants, nonpublic companies and not-for-profit organizations. He also assists in staff training by preparing and presenting professional education courses in the areas of accounting and auditing. Mr. Dyson has worked in quality control for three middle market firms, including one national firm. He served as a Senior Technical Manager with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants ("AICPA") and has experience as a supervising auditor with the U.S. General Accounting Office. He is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants ("NYSSCPA"), where he served as the chair of Financial Accounting Standards Committee. He also is a member of the FASB's Small Business Advisory Committee, and in the past has served on the NYSSCPA's Accounting & Oversight Committee, Section 404 Task Force, Governmental Accounting & Auditing Committee and the Federal Government Contracts Committee. An author and co-author of several articles, Mr. Dyson's work has appeared in various professional publications, including The CPA Journal, where he also serves on the editorial board. He earned his MS and BA in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany. |
