Robert A. (Bob) Ridge is vice president of health, safety and environment for ConocoPhillips.
Ridge joined Phillips Petroleum Company in 1978 as a process section supervisor at the Sweeny refiney.
Ridge transferred from Phillips 66 Company, where he was manager of planning and budgeting since 1992, to Phillips' Sweeny, Texas complex to serve as manager in 1994. After serving as general manager of refining assets for the
company's Sweeny business unit, Ridge was named vice president of health, environment and safety for Phillips Petroleum Company from 2001 to 2002.
Ridge has been a member of the board of directors of the Texas Institute for the Advancement of Chemical Technology and has served as a member of the American Petroleum Institute's Operation Practices committee.
Ridge was born in 1948 in Walsenburg, Colo., and graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemical and petroleum refining engineering in 1971 from the Colorado School of Mines, for which he serves as liaison. |
