Bob Lane brings nearly 20 years of domestic and global experience as an innovative hands-on leader in manufacturing and engineering operations to Nexiant. In his role as Vice President of Operations, Mr. Lane is responsible for technology design, development and manufacturing along with all aspects of Nexiant customer care, including implementation, managed services and customer support.
Prior to joining Nexiant, Mr. Lane held various senior level management positions at Textron and Sony Electronics. Most recently, Mr. Lane spearheaded a profitable, nine month turnaround of a complex $30M manufacturing operation by implementing people, process and infrastructure improvements. He also introduced a robust supply chain management system for two business units and reduced product delivery lead times by 50%.
During his tenure at Sony Electronics he successfully managed the rapid, profitable expansion of Sony Vaio computer manufacturing, increasing annual sales from $10M to $250M in sixteen months. Mr. Lane also introduced a manufacturing campaign that included Lean, flexible cellular manufacturing and synchronized supply chain concepts which lead to the manufacturing facility's recognition in PC Magazine's 2002 "Best in Industry."
Mr. Lane received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and has a comprehensive background in Lean & Six Sigma techniques. He is an active member of the Rady School of Management Business Advisory Board at the University of California at San Diego. |
