Mr. Lockhart has been an industry leader in the property and casualty insurance brokerage sector for over three decades. From 2003 to 2005.
he was president and chief operating officer and a member of the board
of directors of Hilb Rogal & Hobbs - the seventh largest insurance broker
in the United States.
Mr. Lockhart led the company through a period of extraordinary change. He oversaw the integration of recently acquired Hobbs and the acquisition of eight other insurance brokers. He developed and implemented a strategic plan and new organizational structure that created national practice groups, leveraging synergies across the company. During his tenure, revenues grew from $450M to $620M, net operating income increased from $61M to $84M, and annual new business increased 20%.
Prior to joining HRH, he held senior positions with American Phoenix Corporation, Marsh & McLennan, Kemper Insurance Company and AIG.
Mr. Lockhart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Ohio University and a Masters in Business Administration from Rutgers University. In 1986 he was selected as Marsh's sole participant in Harvard Business School's Executive Education program. |
