Robert C. Chandler serves as Executive Vice President and Managing Director in the firm�s two Atlanta, GA offices. He also serves as the National Practice Leader of DHR�s Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice Group. With more than twenty-five years of healthcare management and consulting experience, he recruits senior-level executives for healthcare systems, managed care organizations, physician practices, medical schools, pharmaceutical and life science companies, and academic medical centers. Mr. Chandler has served as a Partner with Ward Howell International, TMP Worldwide and Spherion Corporation. Prior to his consulting career, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Baptist Health System, a Tennessee-based diversified, vertically integrated, multi-hospital system. He simultaneously served as CEO of the system�s HMO, Tennessee First. Earlier he served as the President of Baptist Medical Center-Princeton, the Baptist Health System�s flagship hospital in Birmingham. He previously led the shared services corporate division for BHS, the largest multi-hospital system in Alabama. Mr. Chandler has held a variety of leadership positions in professional societies and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is active in numerous church, civic, and professional organizations and has served as the only non-physician board member of the Alabama Quality Assurance Foundation, as well as the Chairman of the Tennessee Governor�s Committee on Rehabilitation. He has also served on the Board of Directors of American Healthcare Systems, the Alabama Hospital Association, and Chaired the Hospital Alliance of Tennessee. Mr. Chandler received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Samford University and his Master of Science in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He holds faculty appointments at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and Emory University School of Medicine. |
