Experience:
Robert Goldschein focuses his practice on senior loan transactions, with an emphasis in secured and asset based lending. He advises on LBO and other acquisition financing, international trade finance, recapitalizations, debtor-in-possession financing, and working capital and other strategic financing. His practice has given him extensive experience in a wide range of industries, including technology, transportation, import/export, aerospace, healthcare, energy, retail, food products, fashion and entertainment. Robert routinely handles cross-border and multi-currency transactions. He is also proficient in troubled credit situations, having represented secured lenders in numerous workouts and insolvency cases.
Widely respected for his work in commercial law, Robert lectures extensively on a variety of topics in that field, including giving the annual Commercial Law Update for the Financial Lawyers Conference.
Robert has practiced in the greater Los Angeles area since 1980. He joined Mayer Brown in 2001, after prior associations with the Los Angeles offices of several other major firms and with two Los Angeles-based firms.

An $800 million senior secured syndicated credit facility and securitization facility to a manufacturer and distributor of building parts.
A $250 million senior secured syndicated multi-national and multi-currency credit facility to a manufacturer and distributor of computer peripheral devices.
A $140 million US, UK and Canadian senior secured syndicated credit facility to a transportation and logistics infrastructure company.
A $100 million senior secured syndicated acquisition credit facility to a strategic purchaser of computer technology company.
