Robert D. Hatcher, founder and principal of Hatcher & Associates and co-founder of Overland Land & Timber, has been involved in the worldwide purchase of investment timberland and ranchland since 1968. Mr. Hatcher's forestry brokerage experience, combined with in-depth expertise in every important aspect of forestland acquistion and disposition, has resulted in highly satisfied clients the world over. He is intrinsically involved in the ownership, management, and brokerage of a myriad of investment properties, including farmlands, ranchlands, mining properties, and other natural resource properties.
Mr. Hatcher's extensive forestry experience include: timber inventroy, acquisition, sales, leases, and appraisals, land acquisitions and sales, forest management and maintenance, reforestation, estate planning and partitioning, expert testimony, and investment protection against storms, insects, and disease.
He received his Bachelor's degree in 1961 and Master's degree in Forestry from the University of Georgia in 1964. He sits on the Board and is past president of the Rural Committee for FIABCI (the International Real Estate Federation, Paris) and is the FIABCI environmental representative to the United Nations. He is a past president of the FIABCI USA and serves on its Board of Directors. He is also a national past president of RLI (REALTORS� Land Institute).
Mr. Hatcher founded Hatcher & Associates, a globally recognized firm of Registered Foresters, licensed real estate brokers, and marketers. the firm interacts with, and represents individuals, consortiums, and major corporate clients. Hatcher & Associates has presided over timberland transactions throughout the world, including pine and hardwood forests in the southeastern United including pine and hardwood forests in the southeastern United States, mahogany in Belize, teak in Costa Rica, and tepa in Chile.
Mr. Hatcher is Director of Sheldon Good & Company's Forestry and Resources Division. He served as lead Director in auctioning the 900,000-acre ore and mineral estate formerly belonging to The Anaconda Company in Montana.
