Experience
Mr. Scott is a Principal and Chair of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes' Litigation Department and a member of the Management Committee since 1992. In more than thirty five years of practice, Mr. Scott has specialized in complex civil trial litigation in all areas of product liability, drug and medical device, environmental/toxic torts, construction and insurance coverage litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. He has served as national counsel in insurance coverage and product liability litigation and has represented a number of companies in class action litigation. He is active in professional organizations including President of the National Foundation of Judicial Excellence (NFJE) and a Past President of The Defense Research Institute (DRI) and Lawyers for Civil Justice (LCJ). He has authored articles and lectured frequently nationwide on issues pertaining to drug and medical device, product liability, toxic tort/environmental law, trial skills and insurance coverage issues.
Mr. Scott achieved an A/V� rating from Martindale Hubbell�, the highest possible peer review rating for ethics and legal ability.
