G. Robert Lucas graduated from Harvard College in 1965 and from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1968. Following graduation from law school, and after a brief stint on active duty in the Ohio National Guard, Rob began his legal career with Porter, Wright, Morris and Arthur in its Columbus office. He practiced with Porter, Wright for 20 years, specializing in corporate and securities law.
In 1988, Rob left the Porter firm for a position at Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease. After nine years with Vorys, Rob joined The Scotts Company (NYSE:SMG) as its general counsel and secretary.
In October 2001, Rob rejoined the Vorys law firm, then in November, 2002, left Vorys to become Trustee of The Jeffrey Trust, a private trust for the benefit of the heirs of Joseph A. Jeffrey headquartered in Columbus. Rob continues to serve as Trustee of The Jeffrey Trust today.
Rob also serves on the Board of The Jeffrey Company, Bravo Development, Inc. and several other privately held companies in the Central Ohio area. |
