Robert G. O'Brien is Executive Vice President Finance and Investment for Forest City.
O'Brien is responsible for the review of new investments public capital markets and strategic planning. His primary focus is to oversee the Investment Committee which reviews the Company's new investment opportunities. He is also responsible for coordinating the Company's public capital market transactions and directing the Company's four-year strategic planning process. O'Brien has served in this position since 2000.
From 1994 to 2000 he was president of Forest City Finance Corporation with responsibility for identifying financing sources procuring capital and monitoring all outstanding mortgage loans for Forest City. Before that he was vice president of project finance.
Before joining Forest City in 1988 O'Brien was vice president of Oxford Development in Bethesda Maryland and Indianapolis.
He is a member of the Urban Land Institute Mortgage Bankers Association and International Council of Shopping Centers. He also serves on the board of Cleveland Public Art and the investment committee of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Foundation. He is a member of the Class of 2003 of Leadership Cleveland.
O'Brien received his BA in economics from Kalamazoo College and his MBA in finance from Indiana University. |
