BACKGROUND: Rob was born January 5, 1971 , in Tampa , Florida . He graduated from the University of Florida in 1995 and received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2001. Before attending law school, Rob played baseball for the University of Florida and the Anaheim Angels. He was drafted in the 10th round by the Angels and played in their minor league system for nearly five years before retiring due to an injury. Rob left the University of Florida as their all-time career and single-season strikeout leader. And he was listed among the century's top 100 athletes to ever compete at the University of Florida (#100). He joined the firm after taking the Bar Exam in September of 2001. Prior to graduating from law school, Rob clerked at Bush & Ross, P.A. in the civil litigation department. He also clerked at Bavol, Bush & Sisco, P.A., where his primary responsibility was handling insurance defense issues.
