Robert H. Dilworth is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office. He is a member of the Firm�s Tax Department.
Prior to joining McDermott, Bob was the Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Tax Policy. Prior to joining the Treasury Department in September 2005, Bob was a principal in the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Washington National Tax Services office and served as co-leader of the International Tax Services practice (1999-2005). Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, Bob was an associate (1966-1972) and then a partner in Baker & McKenzie, from 1972 to 1999 in their Chicago, San Francisco, Taipei and, most recently, Washington, D.C. offices.
Bob advises multinational clients on a variety of international tax planning matters, with particular experience in international joint ventures and the financing of foreign operations of U.S. multinationals. He has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including retailers, petroleum and petrochemical companies, telecommunications companies, global dealers in derivative financial instruments, high technology manufacturing companies and multinational consulting groups. Bob was recently identified as one of the leading lawyers in the United States in the international tax field by The Legal 500�s survey for 2007.
Bob is a member of the Washington, D.C., Illinois and California bars and currently a member of the Financial Transactions Committee of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation and of the Section of Corporation, Banking and Business Law.
