General Robert H. Doc Foglesong, U.S. Air Force (retired), 60, was named a director on February 21, 2006. He is President of Mississippi State University and serves as President and Executive Director of the Appalachian Leadership and Education Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on the identification and support of new leadership in Appalachia. Previously, he served as a four star general in the U.S. Air Force. During his tenure of over 30 years with the U.S. Air Force, Foglesong held a variety of positions, including, most recently, Commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe; Commander, Allied Air Component Command Ramstein; Air Component Commander, U.S. European Command, Ramstein AB; and Director, Multinational Joint Air Power Competence Center, Kalkar, Germany. Prior to his service in these positions, he served as Vice Chief of Staff, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in February 2006. |
