Robert Beatty has over 25 years of experience in commercial dispute resolution, primarily in the energy and oil and gas industries. His activities span litigation, arbitration, and mediation, and include False Claims Act qui tam royalty claims, crude oil and natural gas contract disputes, price re-determinations, energy taxation, lease and title disputes, and surface damages claims. Mr. Beatty also contributes articles on technical and scientific interpretations of the law affecting energy companies. Represented non-operating working interest owners in arbitration proceedings to remove and replace the operator. Represented owner/operator of natural gas processing plant in lawsuit with natural gas producers. Represented former owner-operator of producing oil and gas properties in arbitration with publicly traded new owner-operator over unpaid operating expenses and overhead charges. Represented publicly traded energy company in dispute with Texas Comptrollers Office over severance taxes.
