Robert J. Garagiola concentrates his practice on business matters, including entity organization and governance, commercial transactions and business disputes. He has negotiated and drafted buy-sell/shareholder/operating agreements, stock purchase agreements, commercial leases, employment agreements, confidentiality, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and various other contracts. He has represented many start-up and emerging companies as well as long-standing businesses and associations. Mr. Garagiola received a B.A. degree from Rutgers University and a J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School.
Active in civic and community affairs, Mr. Garagiola was elected to the Maryland Senate in 2002 and is currently the Deputy Majority Leader, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee's Health Subcommittee, Senate Chairman of the Joint Committee on Healthcare Financing and Delivery, and Chairman of the Joint Committee on Children, Youth and Families. In addition he is currently serving as President of the Maryland-India Business Roundtable and on the Board of Directors of Montgomery Hospice.
