Robert J. Grossman is a group managing director and chief credit officer at Fitch Ratings. He manages the credit policy group, whose responsibility includes reviewing, in conjunction with Fitch's Credit Policy Board and criteria committees, the timeliness and consistency of corporate and structured ratings, the development of rating policies, as well as Credit Market Research. He began working at Fitch in 1989 as head of structured finance, which encompassed all asset- and mortgage-backed securities.
Before joining Fitch, Bob was a senior vice president at Standard & Poor's, where he co-managed the asset-backed securities group. He began his career at The Chase Manhattan Bank.
Bob earned a BA magna cum laude and an MBA from New York University where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. |
