J. Robert McMenamin is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm�s Chicago office. He is a member of the Firm�s Corporate Department. Robert has over 31 years' experience in banking, finance, commercial and corporate law. His experience includes syndicated loans, project financing, leveraged acquisition financing, working capital financing, asset-based lending, subordinated debt and mezzanine financing, ESOP lending, securitization, credit enhancement, workouts and restructurings, both in the private and public markets. He was previously co-head of McDermott's finance group.
Robert clerked in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit during 1971-72. Thereafter, Robert practiced law at Mayer, Brown & Platt until 1989, when he joined McDermott.
Robert is a member of the American Bar Association and The Economic Club of Chicago. He is past president of the Lawyers Club of Chicago. He is a member of the advisory board of Scholastica High School and is past chairman of the advisory board of Holy Trinity Highschool.
