Robert K. (Kelly) Ortberg is Vice President and General Manager of Air Transport Systems Commercial Systems for Rockwell Collins. Ortberg is responsible for Rockwell Collins business activities with commercial airline and aircraft manufacturing. He was named to the position in October 2002.
Previously Ortberg served as vice president and general manager of Communications Systems for Government Systems a position he was appointed to in 2001. Ortberg joined the company in 1987 and has held various management positions of increasing responsibility including vice president Communications Systems director of Data Links and manager of International Marketing for Government Systems.
A native of Dubuque Iowa Ortberg earned a bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
He is a member of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) and Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA).
