Robert L. Edwards has been a director since 2006. Mr. Edwards has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Safeway, Inc. since March 2004. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Maxtor Corporation from September 2003 until March 2004. Before joining Maxtor, Mr. Edwards was senior vice president, chief financial officer and chief administrative officer at Imation Corporation, where he was employed from 1998 to August 2003. He is also a director of Casa Ley, in which Safeway has a 49 percent ownership interest.
Mr. Edwards holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration from Brigham Young University. |
