Mr. Blumenthal is a partner and original founding member of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P. His practice area is primarily corporate representations, (including mergers and acquisitions), business transaction litigation, and securities-related corporate litigation. Mr. Blumenthal's practice is evenly divided between litigation and transactional matters. Mr. Blumenthal has acted as corporate counsel to a variety of clients including a major Dallas hospital, a homebuilder, and various manufacturers, advising them in planning and day-to-day business activities. He also advises clients in employment-related matters, including issues of age discrimination, severance negotiations, and contract claims. Mr. Blumenthal has also had extensive securities experience and has worked on numerous public offerings. In corporate litigation matters, he has represented stockholders in a post-acquisition audit as well as post-acquisition problems, and has been involved in numerous contract disputes, fraud claims, and reorganizations. Mr. Blumenthal was admitted to practice in Texas in 1953. Formerly a Board Member of the Anti-Defamation League, Mr. Blumenthal received its Jurisprudence Award in 1990. In June of 2004, he received the 2004 Judge Learned Hand Award from the Dallas chapter of the American Jewish Committee in recognition of his civic and professional achievements. |
