Vice Chairman of the F.D. Rich Company, joined the Company in 1947 following his graduation from Princeton University. A native of Stamford, Connecticut, Mr. Rich is a graduate of Stamford High School where he was the President of the Class of 1944. The F. D. Rich Company is an 80 year old construction and development corporation which has operated throughout the continental United States and the Caribbean engaging in a wide variety of major projects. As President of the Stamford New Urban Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the F.D. Rich Company, Mr. Rich has led the Company in the achievement of a leadership position in the areas of urban redevelopment and corporate relocation. Stamford New Urban Corporation is the major redeveloper and planner of Stamford's acclaimed 110 acre, one billion dollar redevelopment of its downtown. Mr. Rich resides in Stamford and has been actively engaged in community and civic affairs. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Stamford Historical Society and the Regional Plan Association. While Chairman of RPA's Connecticut Committee, he instituted and led the Fairfield 2000 study. |
