Robert R. Ridout, vice president, DuPont Information Technology (IT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), is responsible for information systems and information technology globally for DuPont. Mr. Ridout leads the DuPont worldwide IT organization, focused on direct support for business units, functional units and regional operations.
Mr. Ridout began his career with DuPont as a computer programmer in 1968 and has held a variety of field sales, information systems supervisory and managerial positions, including chief information officer for DuPont Medical and for DuPont Polymers business. He has served in his current position since 1997. In 1993, Mr. Ridout joined Corporate Information Systems as director of the Global Information Utility providing data centers, networks and distributed computing infrastructure to DuPont worldwide operations. He also led the formation of the IT Alliance with Computer Sciences Corporation and Accenture, announced in 1997.
Mr. Ridout is a member of the Research Board, Board of Directors for Christiana Care and has served on advisory boards with Lotus, IBM, SAP, AT&T, Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and others.
A Virginia native, Mr. Ridout received his bachelor of science degree from the College of William and Mary. |
