Mr. Churchill, a graduate of Colby College (B.A. 1967) and New York University School of Law (J.D. 1971), specializes in corporate and commercial litigation, including securities matters, and business advice. He also has substantial experience with regard to charitable organizations and for many years has been the general counsel to the oldest and one of the largest voluntary health agencies in the United States. In his litigation practice, Mr. Churchill has been the lead attorney in numerous jury and non-jury trials and appeals in state and federal courts, both in New York and nationwide. He also regularly represents clients in arbitration hearings before the American Arbitration Association, the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange and the National Association of Securities Dealers, as well as securities industry members and member firms in regulatory proceedings before such agencies. He has provided business advice and litigation representation to other law firms in connection with their legal matters, including their disputes with former partners. His litigation and commercial representation has extended to numerous industries, including real estate, retail operations, manufacturing, law, accounting, financial services, entertainment, fashion, securities, medical service, architecture and design. He resides with his family in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, where he has been actively engaged in park preservation and educational fundraising efforts. |
