Robert T. Zito joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in June 2004. As the company�s chief communications officer, he is responsible for developing and implementing strategic communications objectives. He manages both external and internal programs, including Corporate brand management, advertising, media relations, employee communications, policy communications, executive communications, creative services and community affairs.
Prior to joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, Zito worked for the New York Stock Exchange as executive vice president of Communications, where he was responsible for developing and building the NYSE�s brand. He managed marketing communications, advertising, media relations, community and educational relations, the NYSE website, and developed and managed the NYSE broadcast center. Prior to the NYSE, he was vice president of Corporate Communications for SONY Corporation of America. Other previous professional affiliations include CN Communications, where he was vice president; and Hill and Knowlton, a global public relations firm where he was an account executive.
Zito holds a B.A degree in English from Fairfield University and is a 1998 Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipient. He serves on the boards of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation, St. Peter�s Prep, FDNY Foundation and Cento Amici. |
