Mr. Parry, age 68, was president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 1986 until his retirement in June 2004. In that position, he served on the Federal Open Market Committee of the Federal Reserve System, the governmental body that sets monetary policy and interest rates. He is also a director of Countrywide Financial Corporation, Countrywide Bank and Janus Capital Group Inc. He has served as a director of the Company since 2004. |
