Robert T. Pous is a partner in the firm's Electrical/ Mechanical Practice Group. His focus is mechanical technologies. He has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in a wide range of technologies. He also has extensive knowledge and experience in the preparation of patent validity and infringement opinions and works in cooperation with our Litigation Department on a regular basis. His practice also includes copyright and software protection and enforcement. He is an instructor for the Patent Resources Group and was an examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office prior to joining the firm.
Born in Bamberg, Germany, Mr. Pous earned his Law degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, where he was on the Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri.
Mr. Pous is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia Bar. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. |
