Mr. LaPenta who will be retiring from his posts as president CFO and director at L-3 Communications effective April 1 2005 was instrumental in L-3s growth from a company with $650 million in annualized revenues when it spun-off from Lockheed Martin in 1997 to an S&P 500 company with an estimated US$6.8 billion in revenues in 2004 and a market capitalization of approximately US$9 billion. Mr. La Penta was also vice president of Lockheed Martin and vice president finance for the company's C3I and Systems Integration sector. At the time of Lockheed Martin's acquisition of Loral Corporation he served as Loral's senior vice president and controller. Mr. LaPenta served in a number of other executive-level positions at Loral since he joined in 1972. Mr. LaPenta received a B.B.A. in accounting from Iona College in New York. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Iona College the Board of Trustees of The American College of Greece and the Board of Directors of Core Software Technologies. |
