Bob Harvey is a Senior Vice-President in Via Christi Health System and the CEO of the Via Christi Senior Services division. He is responsible for the administration of all services and programming provided in related senior care facilities.
Harvey joined the Via Christi Health System in April of 1992. His career includes 20 years in long-term care, assisted living, senior housing, and senior service programming positions. He oversees a senior care ministry comprised of 13 communities in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Prior to joining the Via Christi Health System, Harvey served for four years as the National Director of Operations for National Retirement Company based in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Prior to entering the health care administration field, he served for seven years as the Chief Financial Officer for Family Restaurants Administrative Center in Wichita, Kansas. The blending of a strong financial background as well as years of operational experience has provided Harvey with the resources necessary to direct successful senior care programs.
Harvey currently serves on nine governing boards, including two regional and national boards: the National PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care of the Elderly) Association in Washington, D.C. and the Central States Alzheimer's Association in Lincoln, Neb. Harvey is a past board member of the Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, and Kansas delegate to the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. In 2005, Via Christi Senior Services received the AAHSA national award for public trust, based on outreach programming to the community at large.
Harvey received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Masters of Management Science from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Friends University, teaching graduate level courses on Strategic Management, Innovation and Change Management, and Contemporary Issues in Aging Services |
