Mr. Hedges was named vice president and chief underwriting officer of CastlePoint Management Corp. in January 2007. Previously he was president and chief underwriting officer, CastlePoint Re. He has over 25 years experience managing insurance and reinsurance underwriting operations. Prior to joining CastlePoint, he served as vice president, home office underwriting for Tower Group Companies. Mr. Hedges previously served as underwriting director at the Kemper Insurance Companies and as executive vice president, chief underwriting officer of the Mercantile & General/Toa Reinsurance Companies, with responsibility for all US treaty, facultative and program lines of business. He also served as senior vice president, commercial lines for the Home Insurance Company. His background includes 17 years with American International Group where his responsibilities included managing domestic and international commercial property, commercial casualty, professional liability and risk management profit centers. |
