Robert W. Hughes has been a member in good standing of the Utah State Bar and has been admitted to practice law before the Utah Supreme Court and Federal Court since 1978. Mr. Hughes received his law degree from Pepperdine University in 1978, and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Utah in 1976, graduating cum laude.
Mr. Hughes was employed by the Utah Supreme Court as a research attorney for Chief Justice Alan Crockett from 1978 to 1980. He was employed by the Orange County Superior Court as an intern for Judge Richard Orossco in 1977 and 1978. Since that time, he has been a member of the firm of Hughes, Emmett, Russell & McPhee and is presently in private practice. Mr. Hughes specializes in civil litigation and corporate law. Mr. Hughes' publicly held clients include Natural Gas Pipeline of America, Austin Resources, America International Resources, and Rush Energy.
Bob has a long history of active involvement in community events including coaching little league football and baseball teams, as a pro tem Small Claims Court judge, and judging moot court competitions at the University of Utah. |
