Robert studied mathematics at Cambridge and has an MBA from INSEAD in France. He worked for six years as a management consultant for the strategy consulting firm LEK before joining British Airways in 1993. His career at BA started in corporate finance involved in structuring negotiating and overseeing investments joint ventures and alliance partnerships. Since 1998 he has been in charge of Network Planning at BA with responsibility for Fleet Planning added in 2002. He was a member of the group of five senior managers appointed in 2001 to prepare the company's turnaround plan 'Future Size and Shape'. He is Deputy Chairman of BA's regional airline business and a trustee of the BA pension fund. He joined the Leadership Team as Director of Commercial Planning in 2004. Robert is married with three children his interests include music photography travel and he is a keen skier. |
