Robert Coxon is a Senior Advisor to Carlyle's Europe Buyout group. Mr. Coxon assists Carlyle in developing strategy and identifying investments in the chemicals and process industry sectors. He is based in London.
In addition to his role as a Carlyle Senior Advisor, Mr. Coxon is Chairman of Scott Bader, an international polymer and resin company, Non-Executive Director of AZ Electronic Materials, Stahl Holdings BV (Carlyle portfolio companies), and Meretec. He is Chairman of the U.K. Center for Process Innovation, an international research center in supercritical fluids, electronic materials and bio processing. He is Deputy Chairman of the Unviersity of Durham, Chairman of the NE Process Industry Cluster representing over 300 companies in the process industry and a Non-Executive Director of The Whitehall & Industry Group.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Coxon was Senior Vice President of ICI and Chief Executive Officer of Synetix, a world leading catalyst company.
Mr. Coxon is an engineering graduate of Brunel University and received an M.B.A. from Cranfield University.
