Robert Dove is a Managing Director focusing on infrastructure opportunities. He is based in Washington, DC.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Dove spent 10 years with Bechtel Enterprises, the financing, development and investment unit of Bechtel Group, the engineering and construction company. Mr. Dove, a senior vice president of Bechtel, led infrastructure development activities and managed a portfolio of infrastructure investments.
At Bechtel Enterprises, Mr. Dove led a financing and development team focused on transactions in Europe, including the Tube Lines Limited transaction, the first of two Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) set up by the U.K. Government as 30-year concessions to provide private capital for infrastructure projects, operations and maintenance service to three of the London Underground lines. During his time at Bechtel, Mr. Dove also served as a director of several infrastructure joint venture companies including Alterra Partners, a joint venture with Changi (Singapore) that owns airport concessions; International Water, a joint venture with Edison (Italy) that owns water concessions; Tube Lines Holdings, a joint venture with Ferrovial (Spain); and InterGen, a power generation company which at the time was a joint venture with Shell. |
