Mr. Elson leads the design and manufacturing efforts at Coapt Systems, Inc., as well as being a major inventor/contributor to the intellectual property. Prior to joining Coapt Systems, he served as a consultant to numerous established and start-up companies, including medical devices. He received his B.S. with honors in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1985 and a Masters in Engineering from Stanford University in 1995. Mr. Elson has been a member of Tau Beta Phi, an engineering honor society, since 1983 and holds numerous invention patents. His prior experience includes product design, project and group management and contract negotiations with the Mechanism Department of Hughes Space and Communication Group, Canon, Xerox Research Corporations, and IDEO. |
