Robert Greenfeld is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the New York office. As a member of the Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department, Bobby focuses his practice on patent litigation, especially electrical and telecommunications technology, computer systems, and internet and business methods.
In addition to his litigation practice, Bobby has broad experience in patent portfolio analysis, patent prosecution, interference work, client counseling, licensing and opinion work. His prior experience includes working at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a technical staff member in the undersea and terrestrial subsystems departments. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (New York State, 1992).
While in law school, Bobby was a staff member and articles editor for the Annual Survey of American Law. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Roger B. Andewelt, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and as an intern for the Honorable Robert P. Patterson, Jr., U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.
Bobby is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Bobby is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
