Mr. Griffin sets the overall direction and tone of Escalade. Since joining the Escalade team in 1963, Mr. Griffin has been instrumental in the transition from a shoe manufacturer to a powerhouse in the sporting goods and office machine marketplace. Mr. Griffin served as President and Chief Executive Officer from 1976 to 1994, as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 1994 to 1999, and as Chairman since 1999. Mr. Griffin holds an MBA from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Griffin is very active in the community serving on the board of directors of several charitable organizations and was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Southern Indiana. |
