Dawn Lepore serves as the chief executive officer for drugstore.com, inc., a leading online provider of health, beauty, vision, and pharmacy solutions. Lepore joined drugstore.com, inc. in October, 2004 and is widely recognized as a results-oriented leader who played a key role in building Schwab's highly successful e-commerce business. Lepore also serves as the chairman of the board of directors for drugstore.com, inc.
Lepore formerly served as vice chairman of technology, operations, and administration for The Charles Schwab Corporation. She was also a member of Schwab's Executive Committee and a trustee of SchwabFunds. In her twenty-one years with Schwab, Lepore held a wide variety of roles and responsibilities, including serving as chief information officer and senior vice president of information technology.
Lepore serves on the board of eBay, The World's Online Marketplace, and also served on the board of Wal-Mart from August 2001 to September 2004.
She was honored at the 2003 National Organization for Women's Aiming High Conference, as one of Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women in American Business in 2002, 2001 and 2000, as InformationWeek's Chiefs of the Year for 2000, and named one of the Ten Hottest CIOs in 1999 by Future Banker magazine.
