Robert Ingman is a software industry veteran with almost 20 years of experience in various positions at hi-tech companies including Microsoft, ViAir, and Aventail. During his 12+ year tenure at Microsoft in development and program management teams in the International, Office, MSN, and Windows divisions, he contributed towards the shipment of a range of successful products, and gained a deep understanding of software development and project management methodologies. Amongst many accomplishments, he was responsible for the shipment of the first complete USB and IEEE 1394 (a.k.a. "FireWire" driver stacks in Windows 98 and Windows 2000. At ViAir, he led the program management team and the development of WirelessInbox, a market-leading mobile email application that was deployed by major cell phone carriers in the US, Canada, and Asia. At Aventail, he led the development of a major software update to the EX-1500 VPN appliance, a market-leading product in the corporate security market. |
