Robert J. (Bob) McGill is president of L-3 Communications Displays Group, which includes three divisions of L-3 Communications. These divisions specialize in a number of product/business areas, including high-performance electronic displays and display processing systems for military and commercial aircraft; rugged man-portable and vehicle-mounted displays and computers and shipboard displays and consoles, video cameras and recording systems for law enforcement and integrated public safety systems. One division, Display Systems, is located in Alpharetta, GA. Another, Ruggedized Command and Control Solutions (RCCS), is located in San Diego, CA. The third division, Mobile-Vision, Inc., is located in Boonton, NJ.
Mr. McGill joined L-3 Display Systems (L-3 DS) in 1993 and was named president in 1998. Prior to holding his current position, he was Vice President, Programs and Business Development, with responsibility for all new business development and all program management activities for L-3 DS. Prior to joining L-3 DS, Mr. McGill was Director, U.S. Business Development for GEC Marconi Avionics (now BAE Systems), Britain's leading defense electronics company. Since 1983, Mr. McGill has worked in the aerospace and defense industry, holding positions in manufacturing, engineering, business development and program management.
Mr. McGill served as a Board Member from 1998 2002 for Burch-Lowe, Inc., a construction equipment dealer/distributor located in Mableton, GA, and he presently sits on the Board of Aerosonic Corporation, a leading supplier of avionics for commercial and military customers. He holds a BS degree from Dowling College and an MBA from Georgia State University. |
