Bob's mission is to lead World of Good in successful business execution through operational excellence. New to the Company in April 2007, he is passionate about the World of Good mission, and committed to supporting the artisan groups that are so critical to the overall success of the Company. Bob looks forward to providing additional educational and support opportunities for these groups covering financial management and operational efficiency. Prior to World of Good, Bob was COO and CFO for J.J's Mae, Inc. a San Francisco-based private label apparel manufacturer. Early in his 10 year tenure, he developed and implemented the Company s human rights compliance program before such programs had become commonplace in the industry. The program served as a model for review by organizations including the International Labour Organization and the University of Notre Dame. In addition he was instrumental in migrating the Company from a 100% domestic manufacturer to operating in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Central Europe, and Asia. His additional corporate experience includes finance and operations roles with Birkenstock USA, Mervyns, Marshalls, and Ross Stores. Bob holds an MBA from St. Mary's College of California and additional degrees from Michigan State University and Arkansas State University. He is a founding member of the multi-disciplinary Ethics Advisory Committee for the University of Idaho and volunteers his time with Wardrobe for Opportunity, an Oakland-based nonprofit providing professional clothing and career support to low-income job seekers. |
