Robert Menees has more than 20 years of experience in the litigation support and risk management consulting fields working with clients in a wide variety of industries. His practice focuses on two major areas: (1) expert testimony and settlement support in environmental, insurance, complex claims, mass tort and product liability litigation; and (2) management consulting on business risk management issues.
In his litigation support role, Mr. Menees serves as an expert witness or consultant on matters, such as: valuing assets, liabilities and related damages in environmental, insurance, mass tort, product liability and other complex claim disputes; allocating damages amongst disputing parties, competing claims and insurance policies; evaluating the impact of insurance coverage issues on claims for coverage; estimating potential future liabilities for trial or settlement risk evaluations; assessing the value of damages associated with exposures to deleterious substances; and developing appropriate reserves for potential future liabilities, among other matters.
As a risk management consultant, Mr. Menees advises clients on a range of business risk management issues, including: analyzing and valuing liabilities and assets in transactions; assessing liability management alternatives; valuing and structuring liability buyouts and indemnification agreements; performing comparative benchmark selection and analysis; evaluating resource planning and utilization; assessing change management and organizational structure, among other matters.
Mr. Menees� clients include many leading law firms as well as major firms in the automobile manufacturing, travel and tourism, diversified manufacturing, paper and lumber, petroleum processing, chemical manufacturing, waste management, electric and gas production and distribution, electronics, publishing, plastics and aerospace industries, among others. Prior to joining LECG, Mr. Menees was a Managing Consultant with PA Consulting Group, an international management and technology consulting firm. Previously, Mr. Menees served as a Principal with PHB Hagler Bailly (formerly Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett), an economics and management consulting firm, and as Vice President of Environmental Audit, Inc., an environmental management consulting firm.
Mr. Menees received an MBA and a BA in biological science from the California State University. He holds certificates in Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation and in Hazardous Materials Management from the University of California. Mr. Menees is a member of the Environmental Law Institute. |
