Robert Stein, Vice-President of Non-Ferrous Marketing is a thirty-year veteran of the non-ferrous metals industry, began his career with the London based metals trading firm, Brandeis, Goldschmidt & Company in their New York City, London and Tokyo offices. He subsequently was employed by Commercial Metals Company in Dallas, Texas as a copper trader, and by Louis Padnos Iron & Metal Company as Director of both their Non-Ferrous Metals and International Trading Divisions. Mr. Stein is President of the Bureau of International Recycling's Non-Ferrous Division (B. I. R., Brussels, Belgium), and its Ambassador to North America. Stein has also served as Chairman of the Copper and Brass Division of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI, Washington, D. C.), and is a member of the Non-Ferrous Advisory Board of the New York Mercantile Exchange (Nymex/COMEX Division, New York City, New York). He is a frequent speaker at industry and government conferences on scrap metals both in the United States and abroad. |
