Mr. Tas joined Blue29 in November 2004 to lead the Process Development Group in nurturing promising R&D concepts through to high-volume semi- conductor manufacturing processes, such as the recent CoFC process.
Mr. Tas brings an established track record of high-volume semiconductor manufacturing product development and improvement. Previously, during 10 years with Novellus Systems Inc., Mr. Tas led the 200mm PVD division, where he turned an ailing product with unhappy customers to a successful product with $25M of repeat orders in a competition-dominated market. He held management positions at Novellus in PVD Product Development, HDP Product Development, HDP Process Engineering and Process Develop- ment. Prior to that, Mr. Tas held a technical position at Cygne Pharmaceu- ticals B.V., in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
Mr. Tas received his M.S. in Applied Physics from Technische Universiteit Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
