Roberto S�nchez is a Vice President at Athelera LLC which he joined in November 2003. He has extensive experience in projects in the financial services, retail, and media and entertainment industries across Ibero-America. From 1997 until 2003 Roberto worked at Violy, Byorum & Partners, initially joining as a Senior Analyst and subsequently promoted to Associate and Vice President, where he focused on Mergers & Acquisitions advisory with clients in the media, entertainment and financial services sectors throughout North and South America. Sample clients have ranged from multinationals such as Bristol Myers-Squibb to large family-owned groups such as Calvin Klein, the Cisneros Group of Companies and Casa Editorial El Tiempo. As a result of his sound analytic skills and in-depth knowledge of finance, Roberto took on added responsibilities becoming head of research and training at VB&P responsible for designing the firm�s training effort and establishing a research team and database infrastructure to support bankers. Between 1994 and 1997 Roberto was a Financial Analyst at Goldman, Sachs & Co.�s Corporate Finance Department and Financial Institutions Group working primarily in cross border mergers and acquisitions assignments, and equity and debt placements for corporate clients such as Banco Santander, Banamex, Banco de Galicia y Buenos Aires, Bristol Myers-Squibb, Instrumentation Laboratory (Italy) and Grupo Desc (Mexico) as well as bond placements and exchanges for Argentina, Colombia and Mexico. Roberto is a citizen of Mexico and an honors graduate from Brown University where he was named a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon (Economics Honors Society) and Sigma Chi (Scientific Honors Society) as well as named recipient of the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award. |
